ADULT FAITH FORMATION DIPLOMA 2025:

Is a basic programme which aims to renew Christian life and promotes pastoral leadership. It is presented weekly on Zoom from the Archdiocese of Edinburgh on Thursdays evening 7.30p.m. – 8.30p.m.

Remember those who kept the faith Who always turned to pray. Who showed the love of JesusIn their lives from day to day. Remember those this special time.
Who live with God above, All Saints, All Souls and all our own Who live with God in Love.

NOVEMBER A TIME TO REMEMBER THOSE WHO HAVE DIED:The November Prayer space at the back of the church during the month of November allows us to place the names of our beloved departed on the Remembrance Tree, and all whose names are placed there will be remembered in our Masses during the month (special thanks to Nonie O'Malley, Kitty Lowe & Jason Kelly for putting up the remembrance trees and the banner.)


ECO CONGREGATION WESTPORT:

Over 60s Climate Work Out Programme. The over 60s taking action! For details take home a copy of the information sheet at the Church Doors or click on the Link on our Westport Parish Website.




AID TO THE CHURCH IN NEED:

Week of Witness is Nov. 17th – 24th. An important part of this Campaign is “Red Wednesday” Nov 20th. We seek to raise awareness and pray for all who are persecuted and discriminated against, because of their Christian Faith.

(More details to follow) for raising €54,000 for the Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation.


GRIEF CIRCLE: The grief circle is a safe space to share our experiences of loss & grief in a supportive non- judgmental environment. This circle will be facilitated by Grief Counsellor Tereasa McGuire, the focus of the group is on mutual support not on professional therapy. We will meet on the second Tuesday of each month 8pm to 9.15pm in Sharkey Hill Community Centre F28CD82. Our first nigh is Nov 12th For further information contact Rita 087 0556923


DRUMMIN GRAVEYARD.: 

Drummin Community Council are organising a cleanup of the above and Car park on Sun 24th of Nov at 10.30am

Please bring shovel/gloves /spade and wear hi-vis jacket.

HOLY COMMUNION PYX:

If you would like to take Holy Communion home to a family member or neighbour, please call in to the office to collect a Pyx.


MARRIAGE ANNIVERSARIES:

The annual diocesan celebration of marriage anniversaries will take place in the Cathedral on Sunday, 17 November at 3.00 p.m. Please contact the Presbytery 0ffice if you wish to attend.


WESTPORT FUEL APPEAL:

The Annual Appeal takes place from November 15th –23rd December 2024


TABLE QUIZ: 

In aid of Mayo Roscommon Hospice organised by Rosbeg Community Alert on Saturday night November 30th at 8.30 pm in Cronins Sheebeen Rosbeg Westport. Great prizes great cause and great craic. 


AUTISM:

Westport Autism Friendly Town will hold its next public meeting on Monday, 18th November at 8pm at United Park (Golf Course Road). We are especially keen to welcome autistic people, their families and friends, and businesses and organisations around the locality. Contact Carol Staunton on 086-3443604. Thanks to everyone involved in the Westport branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann. The AGM is on Tuesday Nov. 19th at Knockranny House Hotel at 8pm.


JUBILEE YEAR OF HOPE 2025

Archbishop Francis Duffy will launch this special year in our Parish and Diocese on Dec. 15th at 11.00a.m.Mass.
